Cyberspace ethics falls furthered as we read every day. As health information center, the sneakiness drug business site camouflaged misleading stock tips made in financial chat rooms, electronic shopping whose results are twisted to favor retail clients, e-commerce sites malfunction violations of users privacy. Online news sites have achieved splendidly, judge against to this sorry track record. Fortunately journalism on the Web has been faultless. Online journalism ethics may perhaps be clustered into three wide categories: Gathering the news, reporting the news and presenting the news.
The fist code of ethics for professional journalism was written by members of Sigma Delta Chi in 1926. These codes are as follow:
-Preamble
It is giving an Idea of journalist credibility duty with the public.
-Seek Truth and Report it
When gathering, reporting and interpreting information, journalist should be fair, honest and fearless.
-Minimize Harm
This is giving the idea of how journalist should handle sources, subject and colleagues. They should be treated as human being and with respect.
-Act Independently
Journalist should give priority to the public’s right to know.
-Be Accountable
Journalists are accountable to theirs readers, listeners, viewers and others.

Ethics are very important and a blog about it could be very helpful. Thanks for listing some good sites for the topic. I am a little confused on the following section: “As health information center, the sneakiness drug business site camouflaged misleading stock tips made in financial chat rooms, electronic shopping whose results are twisted to favor retail clients, e-commerce sites malfunction violations of users privacy.” The wording is a bit confusing, but perhaps more importantly, I’d like to read the stories you refer to about the drug business site, etc (maybe some links to the stories your referring to).
Erica, I love the pink, which I applaud—and would have hesitated to try myself. The darker text and minimal graphics keep the topic serious but the blog is still stylish. The endings of your words distracted me a little. What we don’t hear in speech is noticeable on paper(or in this case on screen), such as, furthered instead of further or 'codes are as follow' instead of 'follows'. Ethics is a huge topic for discussion, though, and both of the links are great sources of information that I’ll bookmark.
Like the layout of your blog, especially the pink. The topic is also very interesting because i believe every profession should adhere to some type of ethical behavior, that is what makes them professional. Like Jeff I would have preferred more links to the stories. ~Erma

You bring up some very important points about the ethics of journalism. It was interesting to read your research on the first code of ethics for journalists published in 1926. I'm often concerned that today's journalism challenges these basic guidelines. Today's journalism isn't always about a duty to the public. It is often about what will attract the most readers.

It is very easy to forget that you are, in a sense, still a journalist when blogging. After all you are publicly publishing your opinion. It is important that one distinguishes their view and opinion as from someone elses.
I thought the colors and the images were cool choices that stand out from the rest. I was confused by the first paragraph. It didn't flow very well.
Hi Erica,
I do like the pink color and the layout of your blog! Pink often evokes a tone of sweetness and youth. However, the topic of your post is not that at all, which is a good contrast for the viewer. You presented very interesting information, but your composition was difficult to follow due to grammar errors and unclear sentence construction.
